Quick and Easy DIY Pore Strips for Blackhead Removal in Just 5 Minutes

Getting rid of those annoying blackheads can be quite a challenge. One effective and safe method is using a pore strip. Making your own at home is simple, quick, and much cheaper than buying pre-made ones. It takes less than five minutes, and the results are fantastic.

Ingredients
– 1 packet of gelatin (about 1 tablespoon)
– 1 tablespoon of milk
– 1 sheet of toilet paper
– 2-3 drops of tea tree oil
– Flat makeup brush
– Small microwave-safe bowl

Notes on Ingredients
I tried using agar powder and almond milk as alternatives, but the mixture didn’t achieve the right consistency. Agar powder made it coarse and non-sticky, which is essential for pulling out blackheads. Adding more milk and reheating didn’t help either. While you can use water instead of milk, the lactic acid in milk is beneficial for your skin, helping to gently exfoliate while the gelatin removes debris from your pores.

How to Make Your Pore Strips
1. Add one packet or tablespoon of unflavored gelatin to one tablespoon of milk.
2. Mix until the gelatin and milk are well combined.
3. Heat the mixture in the microwave on high for 7-10 seconds until it slightly bubbles. Remove and stir. The mixture should be thick and glue-like.
4. Add 2-3 drops of tea tree oil (optional) and stir. Tea tree oil is great for treating blemishes.

To Use
1. Separate a layer from your sheet of toilet paper if it’s 2-ply and cut it in half.
2. Wash your face with warm water and mild soap, then towel dry.
3. Using the flat makeup brush, apply a generous layer of the gelatin mixture to your nose or chin.
4. Press the half sheet of one-ply toilet paper onto the area and press firmly.
5. Apply another layer of the gelatin mixture on top of the paper and let it dry until hardened.
6. Once dry, peel off the paper. Use a warm towel to remove any leftover bits of paper or gelatin from your skin.

These homemade pore strips are a great way to keep your skin clear without spending a lot of money.
