The Cleaning Power of Lemon & Vinegar
Commercial dusting sprays might smell like citrus, but they often contain a lot of chemicals. Instead of using those, try this healthier and more affordable version. This spray leverages the power of vinegar to break down grime. It includes lemon and castile soap for disinfecting and cleaning, along with lemon and orange essential oils for extra cleaning power. Sandalwood is optional, but I like it for its scent, which complements the citrus well. If you don’t have lemon thyme, you can use any lemon-scented herb like lemon balm, lemon verbena, or lemongrass. Check Asian grocery stores for these alternatives.
You’ll need to infuse the herbs in vinegar for a couple of weeks—the longer, the better. Make extra so you always have some on hand.
