Create Your Own Pore Strips to Banish Blackheads in Just 5 Minutes

Getting rid of those stubborn blackheads can be quite a challenge. One effective way to safely extract them is by using a pore strip. Making your own strips at home is easy, cost-effective, and takes less than five minutes with amazing results.

Ingredients:
– 1 tablespoon of gelatin
– 1 tablespoon of milk
– 1 sheet of toilet paper
– 2-3 drops of tea tree oil
– Flat makeup brush
– Small microwave-safe bowl

Notes on Ingredients:
I tried using agar powder and almond milk but couldn’t achieve the same consistency as with gelatin and milk. Agar made the mixture coarse and not sticky, which is essential for pulling out blackheads. You can use water instead of milk, but milk’s lactic acid is great for gently exfoliating your skin while the gelatin removes debris from your pores.

How to Make Your Pore Strips:
1. Combine one tablespoon of unflavored gelatin with one tablespoon of milk in a small bowl.
2. Mix until well combined.
3. Heat the mixture in the microwave on high for 7-10 seconds until it slightly bubbles. Stir to achieve a thick, glue-like consistency.
4. Add 2-3 drops of tea tree oil and stir well.

To Use:
1. Peel a layer from your sheet of toilet paper if it’s 2-ply and cut the sheet in half.
2. Wash your face with warm water and mild soap, then towel dry.
3. Using the flat makeup brush, apply a generous layer of the gelatin mixture to your nose or chin.
4. Press the half sheet of one-ply toilet paper onto the area and press firmly.
5. Apply another layer of the gelatin mixture on top of the paper and let it dry until hardened.
6. Once dry, peel off the paper and use a warm towel to remove any remaining bits of paper or gelatin from your skin.
