Transform Your Summer with a DIY Peppermint Cooling Spray

Don’t let the warm weather bring you down. Stay cool this summer with a natural peppermint cooling spray. Peppermint essential oil, which contains menthol, has natural cooling properties. Combined with the cooling effects of witch hazel and aloe vera, this simple spray will help you beat the heat.

Supplies
– 2 oz distilled water
– 2 oz witch hazel
– 2 tbsp aloe vera gel
– 5 drops peppermint essential oil
– 4 oz spray bottle

Instructions

1. Add Ingredients
Mix the distilled water, witch hazel, and aloe vera gel together. You can extract the aloe from your own aloe vera plant or buy ready-made aloe vera gel. Ensure the aloe is thoroughly dissolved into the solution.

2. Add Essential Oil
Add 5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Be cautious, as peppermint oil is strong—a little goes a long way.

3. Pour
Pour the mixture into the spray bottle and give it a good shake.

How to Use

Since this spray contains witch hazel and peppermint, avoid spraying it directly on your face to prevent eye irritation. Instead, spray it on a small towel and then pat it on your face. You can use the spray anywhere on your body for a quick cooling sensation. It’s especially effective on the soles of your feet after a long day. For an extra cooling effect, keep the spray in the refrigerator for use on particularly hot days. Carry a bottle in your bag for easy access and stay cool!
